The good news is the 3WDM has made the front page of Skateboarding Sucks. The bad news is it's tagged as Stupid Shit and Useless Toys. Damn, skateboarders can be harsh!
Well, as they say, bad publicity is better than no publicity. And what is exactly is a skateboard if not a "Useless Toy"?

Yeah, I'm not sure either. They posted it right after I put the photos on Flickr, so that might be it.
I pretty much built the thing to see if weight-sensing control would work well (it does), so I guess I'm a bit attached to the idea.
I haven't really tried any other powerboards. It seems like you'd need a lot of hand-body coordination to run an exkate, but maybe I should try one out before passing judgement :)
BTW, cool site. A lot of stuff I've never seen before.
That was sorta the idea behind the weight sensing: the leaning and the acceleration automagically happen together.
Really cool man. This is exactly how I was going to make mine, but with a bigger set of batteries, a 1kw hub motor, and a significantly different weight distribution setup. (which I can't reveal as its the premise behind my whole design)I can discuss it with you if you would like, just need to make sure the word doesn't get around. Don't let those fools at skateboarding sucks get you down. They sound like a bunch of pessimists that wish they made something so badass.
